Pix of Aunt Audrey ...
Old old pix of Aunt Audrey, my father's
sister. She worked most of her life for the IRS, then retired to Florida.
She was an extremely interesting person, well read on the topics of UFOs, Buck
Rogers, Area 51 and many others. She also volunteered at a local hospital
for 15 years, where she recently passed away among the friends she worked with.
One gentleman, her supervisor, commented that she was "one of a kind". My
dad and I went to Florida to visit with her, but we were sad to find that she
passed away only a few hours before we arrived (12-16-06). :(

Everyone in my Dad's
family played the violin at one time or another ... it seems Aunt Audrey
renewed her interest back in the late 90's. She purchased an
Ernest Nussbaum "Practice
Violin" aka Travel Violin. This
very cool instrument played silent, but allowed you to finger each note
as if it was on a "real" violin. Not only does this instrument
have sentimental value, but getting an email from Mr. Nussbaum directly
was a real treat - this is one very unique piece that will stay in our
family for sure. |
