Dad's old pictures ...

Old old pix that my father started scanning.  Some are from the original negatives.  Plenty more to add soon!  Working on my mother's page too ...

Description

Pictures!

My father and Aunt Audrey, on the beach at Asbury Park when the Morro Castle gambling ship was towed to shore after it cooled off.  It caught on fire and was destroyed around 1934.
Dad in a locomotive.  My grandfather worked for the railroad.
My dad at Sampson Air Force Base in Geneva, New York, 1951.  He stayed there for almost a year as a Drill instructor until his new electronics school was completed.  Then he went to Biloxi, Mississippi where he was an electronics instructor for the remainder of his enlisted time in the Air Force.

Dad's new bow and arrow.

Notes:  That's Uncle Al sitting in the background.  My father said he bought this bow at Solomon's Sporting Goods in Elizabeth, NJ.  A 35 lb. pull bow, it was about $12.50.

My father isn't the cook in the house, other than making popcorn - but on this day, he made me Potato Pancakes!  He's mom's recipe.  MMMmmm ...
